Our Purpose

The first purpose of Grace Baptist Church is to be a worshiping church, exalting God as our number one priority (Psalm 95:6-7, 96:8-9) . It is the purpose for which we were created and our purpose for eternity, both for personal and corporate worship. We desire to create a warm and dynamic worship of God.

Our second purpose is to be an evangelistic church, working diligently to lead the world to a saving knowledge of Christ, then training those people to be disciples for Christ (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8). As the salt and light of the world, it is our desire, as Christians, and as members of Grace Baptist Church, to let others know about Jesus Christ and to show His love toward them.

Our third purpose is to equip Christians to do the work of the ministry both at Grace Baptist Church and in the world. Grace Baptist Church is a training place to equip Christians to carry out their own ministries. It is not a place to watch professionals perform or to carry out the church program, for every member is a minister (2 Timothy 2:15).

The fourth purpose of Grace Baptist Church is to encourage Christians toward spiritual maturity and hold up those who are down trodden (Romans 12:1-2; Hebrews 10:25).
